YJM

There are so many diverse musical genres that one might find himself lost trying to understand every single one of them. Well, i, for one, don't really put that much effort into categorizing styles that are borderline. On the other hand some styles quite sand out and force attention with their unique approaches. One of those is Neoclassical music. Please listen to this while you read further :).

Neoclassical music is basically the product of rockers who are influenced by classical music with that influence being quite evident in their composition. One of the biggest and first to play neoclassical is Yngwie J. Malmsteen.

YJM is a Swedish guitarist that has simply forced his way into the mainstream rock scene, combining his technical abilities with his classical influences, to shock the world with the classical lines on the electric guitar. He has so many albums with different projects he joined, from which my personal favorite is Rising force (1984), which was his first solo release and contains most of his major hits, including Black Star, Far Beyond the Sun (my personal favorite), Evil Eye, and many more.

Many neoclassical guitarist have emerged since the 80s, pouring all there different influences into the genre which made it evern more diverse. Yet, the characteristic formation of the classical tunes is always sensed in their music.

Combining things really does ROCK :D ... Hope i didn't bore you to death with this, and to be even greedier, i hope you enjoyed it :)
